Mold Growth at Unoccupied Residence
When a family member becomes ill and must leave their home to stay with their caretaker a home can sit for months unattended. Everyone is so busy taking care of their loved one it is sometimes impossible to get back to the empty residence to check on it. Then when the opportunity arises to check on it, often they walk into this situation.
In their absence water leaks can occur and the moisture causes mold to grow throughout the structure. In order to properly do the mold mitigation and remediation this house had to be stripped of all contents, a large portion of sheet rock, and flooring. In this particular case once we completed those steps, a contractor followed behind us to remove some sub-flooring and framework before starting the re-construction.
