Unexpected Damage
The extreme cold moved out of the Beckley area and we had the pleasure of temperatures in the low 50’s. For about four days we relaxed, sat back, then “BOOM” another winter storm was upon us. The temperatures plummeted and the snow began to fall.
A homeowner had been away from home over the weekend and Sunday afternoon returned to find water throughout the house. A water pipe in their attic burst causing damage to ceilings, walls and floors in the bedroom, kitchen, dining, bath and hallways.
So much water had entered the home and so much time had passed that we were unable to save the drywall and flooring. Most of the contents were salvageable and after being dried were moved into a Pod until we could do tear out/remediation and a contractor could put back drywall and laminate flooring.
